Chocolate

explaining my love for you
would be like explaining the taste of chocolate
such a simple taste
but when asked to describe it's sweet flavor
one can not find the words complex enough
they can say
sweet
yummy
delicious
but the words are not exact
such an original flavor
the way coffee tastes like coffee
and mint tastes like mint
you are but a piece of chocolate
in a world of sour hard candy
so original
so sweet
so pure without filling
for only the best chocolate can be enjoyed that way
and there is only so much chocolate in this world

so next time you feel like
a lone piece of chocolate among sour lollipops
remember that though lollipops and hard candy
are given more licks and bites
by candy lovers that are too easy to please
you are still delicious
and if you try to be a lollipop
that won't work out too well
would it?
